Reason for Obtaining: I have liked Garfield a lot since 2014. I had come across this Garfield phone in a large antique store, and numerous trips had passed before I decided to buy this Garfield phone. I recall it being behind glass, so I didn't want to get an employee, only to learn the phone was $100. To my surprise, this phone was only $30. I purchased it and I use it often. At the time, I didn't know that these phones are really expensive. Perhaps I bought it at a time when they were still cheap. These days, they go for $200+. Repair: Some buttons require to be pressed hard to dial a number, and when you do this, it can dial the same number a few times. I need to open the handset to clean the contacts to fix this, but opening the handset is very difficult and I would rather not break it, since these phones are expensive. |
